CHE HOSTELS brings you all the fun throughout the Riviera Maya with its CHE CARNAVAL. From February 17th to 21st you can enjoy free shots for everyone, lots of costumes and above all unlimited fun! Join us at the hostels in Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Bacalar and Holbox, where you can also enjoy the Holbox 2023 Festival, an event that attracts tourists from all over the planet.

The parade is prepared and organized by the locals of Holbox. Women of all ages dress up in colorful costumes in the style of rumba, Mayan or Aztec dancers. Small bands and individual dance troupes travel the streets of town on foot or in colorfully decorated vehicles.
Now you may ask, what is the Holbox Festival and how is it related to Carnaval Che? Holbox is a small island off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, where people go for a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation.

The Holbox Festival has been celebrated since 1973. This year’s festivities promise to be as wild as ever; plus, there’s the food and drink. It wouldn’t be Carnival without plenty of food and drink. Holbox’s hotels and restaurants offer participants plenty of both during their tour. And if you want to take advantage of some daytime outings – like cotillions with games and free drinks at Che – you’re free to do that too!
The night will end with a big party where everyone will dance until dawn.
